Lucas Till reportedly joins the CBS reboot.
Actor Lucas Till, who plays Havok in the X-Men movies, has been cast as MacGyver in a new CBS reboot, according toThe Hollywood Reporter.
In what the Hollywood trade describes as "a lengthy and extensive casting search," to fill the role created by Richard Dean Anderson, Till will reportedly play a 20-something MacGuyver just as he gets recruited into the clanedestine Phoenix Foundation to use his unconventional problem solving skills to help prevent disasters from happening.
Till will reprise his role as Havok in May's X-Men: Apocalypse. He is also playing the lead in the upcoming Paramount movie Monster Trucks.
CBS is currently aiming MacGyver for a fall debut.
