A half-dozen new images have surfaced from “Star Trek Beyond,” providing the best look yet at the new uniforms, and a new ship that’s definitely not the Enterprise.
The photos debuted today on the Chinese-language website Check Magazine, just three weeks before the arrival of the final trailer for the Paramount Pictures sequel.
Kirk, Spock, McCoy & Co. are shown on the bridge of what Trek Core identifies as likelythe USS Franklin, which will stand in for the Enterprise after — well, you’ve probably seen the trailer. How many times has the Enterprise been destroyed, anyway?
Directed by Justin Lin, “Star Trek Beyond” stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoë Saldana, John Cho, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban and Idris Elba. The film opens July 22.
